Higher Diploma in Software Engineering

Program Description

Students are trained in a wide range of software and code technologies for use in industries such as banking, communications, government, manufacturing, and transportation. After successful completion of this training course, students will gain the knowledge and skills required to design, program, and test and deploy software applications for the PC desktop and the internet. Programming languages include Java script, Java, Visual Basic, C++, C, C#, HTML, and SQL. Database training includes SQL and Oracle.

Graduate of this 62 weeks training program can find employment in the areas of system analysis, computer programming, database development, web and desktop application design, and software testing.

Admission Requirements

• Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent
• OR Equivalent International Credential are accepted only if assessed by WES/CES/ICAS/IQAS
• OR Mature students successfully pass the Wonderlic basic skill test (both verbal & quantitative )
• Passing an admission interview
